4.3.1 Spare Drive

Three types of spares are supported:

1. Local: (Dedicated): Spares that participate in the rebuild of

a specified logical drive.

2. Global: Spares that participate in the rebuild of any logical

drives.

3. Enclosure: Spares that participate in the rebuild of the logical

drives within the same enclosure.
